The Best Starter-Aquarium Bundles

If you want to make your life as easy as possible, we recommended starting with an all-in-one aquarium kit. These will include everything you need to get started and saves you the hassle of piecing everything together yourself!


Here are our favourites:

Fluval Flex 57 Aquarium Kit:





Pros:

•Hidden filter in rear compartment with space for heater ( link recommended heater ).

•Features colour changing light with easy to use remote. Great for plant growth too.

•Dual outlet flow nozzle ensures flow is well distributed around the tank. •Honeycombing around top hides water level.

•Easily removable filter cartridge which can last years.

•Cutout for easy feeding.

•Matching cabinet available.





Cons:

•Curved front glass may not be to your taste.

•Filter inlets are too large to keep shrimp and micro fish species.

•Simple and clean design. Perfect for desktops. •Feeding hatch makes feeding easy


Cons:


•Not the strongest filter

•Filter cartridges are disposable and need replacing monthly ( £5.99 for two cartridges )

•Light isn’t particularly bright; plants will struggle.






Superfish Start 50:




Pros:

•Includes everything you need including tap water conditioner, bacteria, food, heater, net, thermometer.

•Exceptionally good price for the bundle.

•Easy use feeding hatch.

•Matching cabinet available.



Cons:

•Old fashioned design, not particularly exciting.

•Light isn’t the strongest. Limited to slow growing easy plants.






Superfish Start 30:



Pros:

•Includes everything you need including tap water conditioner, bacteria, food, heater, net, thermometer.

•Exceptionally good price for the bundle.

•Perfect size for a desktop aquarium.

•Easy use Feeding hatch

•Matching cabinet available.


Cons:

•Old fashioned design, not particularly exciting.

•Light isn’t the strongest. Limited to slow growing easy plants.






Tetra Aqua Art Starter Aquarium:



Pros:

•All inclusive bundle. Has everything you need to start an aquarium.

•EasyCrystal filter keeps water crystal clear.

•5mm glass has great clarity.

•Easy use feeding hatch.



Cons:

•Filter is not the strongest; this can be good for certain fish ( such as Bettas ).

•8.5w LED is not strong enough for harder plants.

•Filter uses disposable cartridges which should be replaced every 4 weeks.




Marina 360 Aquarium:



Pros:

Great price

•Multi-colour LED lighting - perfect for kids!

•Filter is discretely placed at back of the aquarium.

•Plastic edges are slightly tinted so look identical to glass.



Cons:

•Accessibility is not great; cleaning can be difficult. •Not the strongest filtration system.

•Plastic is not as clear as glass.







Biorbs:


Pros:

•Sleek, modern-looking fish tanks.

•Bubble tube in the middle not only looks nice but ensures aeration for fish.

•Includes large stone gravel, which is also biological media.

•Optional colour changing light with built-in timer and remote.

•Ultra clear acrylic ensures optimal fish viewing.

•Variety of styles to choose from.

Cons:

•Gravel cannot be changed; cannot keep certain catfish as a result.

•Filtration is not the strongest due to design.

•Must use acrylic glass cleaner. •Air-stone in tube must be replaced every 3 months.

•Disposable sponge needs replacing every 1-3 months.

•More expensive than alternatives.
